Graduate Diploma In Early Childhood Education
MQA/JPA Accreditation | 2 to 2.5 Years (6 to 7 Semester)
The programme is designed for practicing early childhood educators and childcare providers who want to expand their academic knowledge and enhance their professional skills.
The programme is specially tailored for educators and childcare providers who intend to acquire a recognised qualification without the need to relocate their work place and as well as family.
Learning Outcomes
- Apply knowledge of child development in planning supportive and challenging learning environments for children.
- Plan and implement Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP) for young children, with sensitivity to individual needs.
- Explain organisational regulations, policies, ethical guidelines, and standards associated with the provision of early childhood education services.
- Value that teaching young children is a science, an art and a craft
Enrty Requirements :
For Malaysian and International Students
Regular Entry :
- STPM / ‘A’ Level or equivalent qualifications with at least Grade C (CGPA 2.0) in two (2) subjects; OR
- Other recognised equivalent qualifications; AND
- 2 years of work experience; OR
- A Graduate Certificate in the relevant field.
For Malaysian Students Only
Flexible Entry :
Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) Entry Requirements:
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Possess relevant working experience.
Minimum English Language Requirements for International Students:
- Minimum score of 5.0 for IELTS; OR
- Minimum score of 500 for TOEFL; OR its equivalent.
