Master in Education (MEd)

MQA/JPA Accreditation | 1 Year 8 months to 2 years (5 semesters)

The Master of Education degree programme is designed to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills to
be effective educators. It seeks to provide a theoretical perspective of educational practices in various areas of
concentrations. The programme is approved by the Malaysian Ministry of Education, accredited by the Malaysian
Qualifications Agency and recognized by the Public Service Department (Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam).

• Integrate technology in teaching and learning.
• Engage in critical analysis of research evidence and application in the classroom.
• Conduct research that contributes to the solution of educational problems.
• Assume leadership roles in various educational settings.

Entry Requirements :

Direct Entry : 

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, as accepted by the Senate of HEP,
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications with a GPA below 2.50 can be admitted subject to a minimum of five (5) years working experience in related fields.

ELCR Band (International Students Only) :

• A minimum score of Band 3 for MUET OR its equivalent

Apel Entry :

This applies to candidates who are :

• At least 30 years of age in the year of application
• Possess a minimum of STPM / Diploma / equivalent
• Possess relevant working experience
